We have a good reputation here at Tiger for developing apprentices in the business. Three members of our full time staff started as apprentices and are now Business Support Manager, Works Operative and Operations Admin. We currently have three apprentices in our warehouse and two in the sales office and love the contribution they bring to the team.

Favourite food: Chinese
What does your role involve and what do you enjoy about it? My role is to assist manufacture Tiger equipment, I enjoy building different items of stock and the complexity of the role.
What are some of the key skills that you have learnt so far during your apprenticeship? To identify different chain sizes and understanding what block they go on.
What advice would you give to others who are thinking about doing an apprenticeship? To try and make sure that the apprenticeship is the job you want to do in the future. Also that doing an apprenticeship can lead you to many different opportunities.

Fun fact about yourself: I love getting out and staying active
What does your role involve and what do you enjoy about it? My role involves assisting manufacturing Tiger equipment; providing stock for customers to purchase.
What are some of the key skills that you have learnt so far during your apprenticeship? I have gained better communication skills since starting as previously I would struggle talking to new people. I have also learned how to be more efficient.
What advice would you give to others who are thinking about doing an apprenticeship? That Tiger Lifting is a great company where there are plenty of different job roles that you can get into and learn from for the future.

What does your role involve and what do you enjoy about it? A little bit of everything on the shop floor from assisting with jobs to watching and learning how to manufacture equipment. I really enjoy all of it.
What are some of the key skills that you have learnt so far during your apprenticeship? Working as part of a team and working to a deadline within time frames.
What advice would you give to others who are thinking about doing an apprenticeship? Go into one with confidence, be ready to learn and if you have questions about anything just ask – no matter how stupid they may sound. Keep turning up and doing your best.
